For their last evening event, the Spring 2018 Student Café class will honor the chefs who have inspired them and helped define the world of contemporary cuisine.

Working under the direction of Chef William Davis, the senior students of ICASI will prepare a 7-course meal that demonstrates their own skill as they interpret the work of some of today’s culinary leaders.

While creating this incredible meal, the students will also be paving the way for future deserving culinary and pastry students by generating donations for the ICASI Scholarship Fund. Please join us to for this very special event.

Menu:Beef Cheek Pierogi with Mushrooms and Horseradish Crème Fraiche (Michael Symon); Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with Virginia Ham Croquettes (Thomas Keller); Dungeness Crab and Endive Salad with Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette and Chervil Mayonnaise (Alice Waters); Garganelli with Zucchini Pesto, Green Beans, Arugula, and Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes (Gordon Ramsey); Lime-Basil Sorbet Intermezzo; Porcini-Crusted Pork Tenderloin with Polenta, Piquillo Puree, Apple Gastrique, and Catalan Spinach (Jose Andres); White Velvet Cake with Raspberry Filling and Cake Boss Buttercream (Buddy Valastro)

New Fall Student Scholarship

Students looking to apply for the Fall 2018 Quarter wether it be in the culinary or pastry arts, there are 2 scholarships avalable.  One worth $6000 and the other worth $2000.  If you are interested in applying for the scholarships, contact the Admissions Director: William Davis william@lpscinc.com to learn more.  Application deadline is June 23rd. http://www.icasi.edu/admissions

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS - SCHOLARSHIP DINNER

The International Culinary Arts and Sciences Institute, ICASI, will once again host the Recipe for Success scholarship dinner on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 6:00 pm. This will be an evening of fun and fantastic food dedicated to raising funds for the ICASI Scholarship Fund, Inc., an independent non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that provides scholarship awards for deserving current and incoming culinary and pastry students.

Since 2010, the ICASI Scholarship Fund, Inc. has distributed over 25 tuition grants to students pursuing their dreams of establishing culinary and pastry careers.

That evening, we will have a raffle for a Trip to Italy for two. Take a culinary journey with Loretta Paganini on our Harvest Tour: September 12-21, 2019. The 8 night tour to Piedmont, Liguria & Tuscany regions are a once in a lifetime trip. This is a $12,000 value. You do not have to be present to win but hope you will be able to join us that evening and help make this event a success.

The cost of the raffle ticket is $100 each and can be purchased at LPSC by calling 440-729-1110.  Purchase a raffle ticket today and help students achieve their dream goal of becoming a chef.

Proceeds benefit the ICASI Scholarship Fund and its mission to providing scholarship funds to students seeking a career in the Culinary and Pastry Arts.

Spring Semester Begins 4/7/18!

Welcome back ICASI students.  A new Spring Saturday Only class begins, other students are continuing their education, and our Winter of 2017 starting students are taking thier last Hands-On class here at ICASI - Student Cafe. Our Fall of 2016 students are all on externship, so go visit them, and see how they are enjoying their experience!

Cooking with a Partner Classes

Couples, friends, and family members divide into chef-coached teams that each create and plate one course in a multi-course meal enjoyed by the entire class. While dining, participants share the tips and secrets that lead to successful execution of each recipe.

Upon completion of the meal, diners vote by popular acclaim the favorite dish of the evening. This is our most popular class format – be sure to sign up early to enjoy it with your favorite cooking partner!

ICASI Students participate in Farm to Table Charity Event

What a great night at the #FARMAFARE event at Holden Arboretum last night. Not only did some of our own ICASI students help pass out food and assist at the event, but ICASI alumni all over the place. Kyle Grant rockin' his #ICASInation t-shirt representing #TheSmithRestaurant with a fantastic Smoked Brisket slider. Not pictured yet Scott Burgun of Ahuja Medical Center showing us healthy food is tasty too. And Jason Levine from #Brim in Willoughby could not attend, but I appreciated sampling his caramel apple dessert!!
